Rule 18
Arrangements for Protection of Witnesses, Suraki, Complainants
(1) If a person who is a witness in a case feels that there is a danger to the safety of himself or a member of his family after appearing before the court or after filing a statement in the court, he may make a request to the bureau to arrange for the safety of himself or a member of his family.< br> (2) If an application is received in accordance with sub-rule (1), the bureau will send a written request to the concerned Metropolitan Police Commissioner's Office or Regional Police Office to provide security to such person or his family member.
(3) If written according to sub-rule (2), the concerned metropolitan police commissioner's office or regional police office shall make the necessary security arrangements.
(4) For the protection of the complainant or suraki or his family member, the bureau may proceed with the investigation by giving the name, surname, nationality, and other identifying information of such complainant or suraki a fictitious or symbolic name as necessary.
